computer problems

well it all started today when me, mr x, cw and prinsess natalya were playing a game

it froze and mr x computer broke
so he told me to post it on here to say that he wont be on for a while

wow... hmmm.. what do you mean with "broken"? can you explain me a little bit more? if it's not an hardware problem i can solve it..

hmm well its eather a graphic card problem or somthing elce similer to that.
the screen on the computer stays black and glows a little he told me (on ipod)
the labtop is 3 years old and heres his discription

1) If the display STAY black and does nothing but sounds and all the other stuff works it must be a DISPLAY problem.

1- solution : To check if the display is broken try to connect an external display (i think X has an external one). Link the external display to the laptop and see what happens.

2) If the display STAY black but sometimes it get lightened up a bit (maybe from black to a more "light" black) then it is a GFX problem (Graphics poblem) (video card).

I highly recommend to try to make it boot... If the boot works or you can hear any sound concerning windows / pc then it is the graphics card.. If not it can also be the hard disk with the video card.

IF the hard disk is broken nothing will start but the boot will work.

This problem may be caused by an overheating of the pc (usually).

--> solution can be found only by repairing the PC. If it's his HP pc tell him to try to look if the guarantee is already expired.. If it's not expired he wont have to pay for repairing it.. He just need to give it back where i bought it.

Ty bri i already did those steps but my external screen dousnt respond...in return i looked around and its a manufactering problem concerning hp paviljoen, and nvidia geforce chipset.. You also had a hp so i would google it if i were you.

Laptip is lil longer then 2.5 year old so no guarantie... Which basicly meams a 1k euro bill.looked at yoir sony vaio abit closer..but sony's service looks like hell.. Right now got the plan to buy a dell studio 17 with i5 core.but yeah difficult. My hd was luckely still alive so i got my files and pictures back(thank god) so yeah..we'll see how it goes;)
